My Everyday Face

IMG_6032[2]

Today I decided to show you my everyday make-up look, I’ll let you in on all of my everyday makeup products and also some of my go-to’s! I’m not one for spending a fortune on  makeup, (as you can see) because I get through it so fast and I go off products within a few weeks of buying them, but the products I do have, are things that suit my face or things that apply properly to my combination skin. Everyday I wake up and I don’t know which part of my face will be dry, and which bit oily, so I have to have a few different foundations on the go to have a few choices for the different days!

Today we were having an oily face day, so my Maybelline Dream Matte Moose was my number one choice for oil busting! I also decided to use the Benefit PoreFessional primer, to act as a base for my makeup. After applying this, I like to go in with my Max Factor powder and fill in all of the oily places, to hopefully prevent it throughout the day. I then to use my Tayla-Blue contour kit, which is an absolute god send because it suits my skin PERFECTLY. I go in with the banana colour, under my eyes before applying the L’oreal Infallible 24h foundation, two shades lighter than my skin, to the areas where I would like to highlight. I then use my Tayla-Blue contour kit to highlight and contour. (Please see link for the guide to using the contour kit.)

IMG_6035.JPGFor my brows, I like to use the Rimmel brow pencil to fill and then the Soap and Glory Trick and Treatment to line underneath. I then go in with the Maybelline Brow Drama gel and the Tayla-Blue highlighter from the contour kit to bright and lift my brows. I use a small slanted brush and get a tiny bit of highlighter on my brush and blend under the arch of my brow, I use a little product to begin with and build slowly, making sure to blend. The brushes I use for my brows include the Body Shop slanted brush and the Real Techniques slanted brush.

My lashes are my favourite part of my makeup routine, I like to start with curling my lashes, followed by coating the lashes with the Benefit They’re Real mascara. After coating my lashes, I like to use the Collection fast stroke eyeliner to line the top of my lashes, thick eyeliner doesn’t suit me so I only like to draw a thin line. I then layer my Maybelline Falsies mascara and Rimmel Scandaleyes Relouded mascara until I reach the desired effect. Next I use the L’oreal colour riche quad to fill in my lids, I first use the pink shade to fill my lid and then use the other colours in turns to fill in my eyelid crease. I then finally use the white shade to fill in the centre of my lid to open my eyes. To finish the look, I like to use the Essence white eyeliner to line my lower lid and bring out the colour of my eyeshadow. My favourite brushes to use, have to be the Real Techniques ones!

To finish off my makeup look, I decided to wear lipstick today, I don’t usually do this because it washes me out, but these products together suit me really well. I use the Essence lip liner to start of my lips, the darker to line and the lighter to fill, then I use MAC’s velvet teddy all over and finish with the Rimmel Oh My Gloss lip gloss in the shade ‘captivate me’. Essence liners are my favourite, they’re only £1 from Wilko’s but last much longer than my MAC lip liners!
